Product: natural Quinine fragrant wine
Tasting notes: this wine has red garnet color with light orange reflexes in the nail, it is clear, shiny and clean. In the mouth is warm and velvety and the aromatic sensation is long and complex. Lightly sweet first, it leaves final aftertaste dry and clean, with nice light bitterness.
Consumption: this is really a versatile product. It could be served as aperitif, served chilled with seltz or soda water; it matches dark chocolate in a perfect marriage, as well as ice cream. Therefore, it could be a dessert wine. After a meal, it becomes a digestive, served plain or on the rocks.
Served warm, it becomes a panacea.
Curiosity: flavored wines are a tradition in this area of the Piemonte Region. The most famous is Barolo Chinato even though it was common to prepare this infusion using local high quality wines (Barbera, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo etc..).
Its origins go back to the year 1800, as medical wine. Pharmacists were preparing it under owned secret receipt, each one special for recovering specific diseases. This Wine gets a high concentration of vitamins and has therapeutic use as reconstituent.
